① Don’t have the ‘foggiest idea’~  ;to have no idea about something ;오리무중이다,전혀모름

   -I don’t have the foggiest idea where I put my keys.

   -I don’t have the foggiest idea about why he would break up with you.

   -I don’t have the foggiest idea about the answer to this question.

② To ‘bite off more than you can chew’  ;to take on too many tasks..more than you can handle; 먹을 수 있는것보다 더 많이 먹다, 욕심내다

   -Stop biting off more than you can chew.

  -I bit off more than I can chew by accepting that promotion.

  -Looks like you bit off more than you could chew.

  -I try not to bite off more than I can chew.

③ to cut corner ;when sth is done badly, in order to save money or time, taking the shortcut

  -When they made this building, they ct corners. Everything is breaking.

  -Our company really cut corners while preparing for this exhibit.

  -I don’t like to cut corners when I work. I’m a perfectionist.

④ The ‘last straw’ ;To reach the final problem is a set problems; Last chance, 짚푸라기

  -My girlfriend is being horrible to me. She forgot my birthday too. This is the last straw!

   We’re breaking up!

  -This is the last straw. You’re fired.

  -My company forgot to pay me three months in a row! This is the last straw.I’m quitting.

⑤ To beat around the bush ;to avoid the main topic; 맴돌며 빙빙돌리고 말을 못하다

 (e.x: I ask her about her boyfriend, but she answered something different, didn’t answer about  her boyfriend)

   -I asked her about her job but she keeps beating around the bush.

  -He said he would tell me but he keeps beating around the bush.
